Requesting client credentials from NewVoiceMedia

To make calls to an API, you require client credentials (a client ID and secret) API credentials which authenticate your request. Contact your NewVoiceMedia account manager and request client credentials for use with the relevant API. You will receive an email from NewVoiceMedia.

Your API credentials consist of:

  • your client ID. Your client ID identifies who you are, a bit like a user name.
  • Your your client secret. The email contains a link to https://onetimesecret.com/. Click the link to access your 40 digit client secret.

Save these details. You will need your client ID and client secret every time you make a call to the API.

Adding an API to your existing client credentials
  • Your client secret is a password that's generated by NewVoiceMedia.

If you do not already have API credentials, you will need to create them in API Admin. For information about creating new API credentials, see Creating new API credentials.
If you already have client API credentials for a NewVoiceMedia APIand want to reuse these for an additional scope, you can add other APIs to these client credentials. Contact your NewVoiceMedia account manager and request that the relevant scope for the API is added to your existing client credentials.that scope to your existing credentials.
