If you put any of these values into the wrong column, the Dial List is created but might not be usable. The sort order in the report is reflected in the order of the Dial Entries in the Dial List.

  1. Click the Dial Lists tab. The Recent Dial Lists view appears.
  2. Select an appropriate view and click Go! if the selected view does not automatically appear. The view appears.

  3. Click Create From Report.

  4. Provide the following information:

    Dial List NameThe name of the Dial List. Type the name for the Dial List you are creating.
    Source ReportA list of tabular reports on which you can base your new Dial List. Click the name of the report you want to use.
    Object ID ColumnA list of columns in the report you specify in Source Report. Click the name of the column that contains the ID of the object in the report. The Object ID is used to generate a URL in the Dial Entry to the original Salesforce object.
    Dial Entry Description ColumnA list of columns in the report you specify in Source Report. Click the name of the column that contains a suitable description for the object in the report. The description appears in the individual Dial Entries.
    Dial Entry Primary Phone ColumnA list of columns in the report you specify in Source Report. Click the name of the column that contains the primary telephone number for the object. This telephone number is the first number used to connect an agent to a customer when the agent uses
    the Dialer
    Connect to make a call.
    Dial Entry Secondary Phone ColumnA list of columns in the report you specify in Source Report. Click the name of the column that contains the secondary telephone number for the object. This telephone number is used if the primary telephone number fails to connect an agent to a customer when the agent uses
    the Dialer
    Connect to make a call.

    Click Create Dial List.

    The Dial List is created. The Dial List appears on screen, and contains one or more Dial Entries. Each Dial Entry corresponds to a row in the report on which the list is based.

You cannot refresh a Dial List created from a report.

If you create a Dial List from a report with more than 2000 entries, only 2000 Dial Entries are created. These Dial Entries correspond to the first 2000 entries in the report. To work around this limitation, you can export the report to a CSV file, and upload that file to create a Dial List. For information about creating a Dial List from a CSV file, see Uploading a Dial List.

You cannot create a dial list from a report if you have more than 1000 reports in Salesforce. If you have more than 1000 reports, when you click click Create From Report, an error appears.
