When you have created a Dial List you must make some changes to enable an agent to use the list. The following changes are the most important:
- Make the list active
- Set the mode that the Dialer Connect uses when making calls
- Add any information that will help an agent making the calls
...
- Locate and open the Dial List in read mode if not already open. Click Edit. The Dial List appears in edit mode.
You can change the following fields:
Section Column width 60% Field Description Name The name of the Dial List. Mode The dialing mode used for making calls—preview or automatic. By default, the mode is set to preview. For more information about dialing modes, see Dialing modes. Active Whether or not the Dial List is active. An agent can only use a Dial List when it is active. Description Additional notes for the agent making the calls that are displayed along with the customer details. Notes can include the reason for calling, images, and links to product information. Click Save. The Dial List appears in read mode.

If you want to edit many Dial Lists at the same time, you can do so from the view that contains those Dial Lists. For example, you might want to change the dialing mode of, or activate, several lists at once. For information about editing multiple records, see Salesforce help.
