A user's profile determines which page layout or layouts the user sees in different areas of the ContactWorld for Salesforce. You can assign appropriate page layouts to profiles.
From version 2.0 of ContactWorld for Salesforce onward, if enabled for your account, Salesforce creates a task record at the end of a call. For information on this change, see Call logging in task records - new. To use the new features, you must use the NVM Tasks page layout. To assign the NVM Tasks page layout to user profiles, perform the following steps.
- Go to the Administration Setup Page in Salesforce.
- On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the App Setup or Build section, expand Customize and then Activities.
- In the expanded list of items, click Task Page Layouts. Task Page Layout appears.
- Click Page Layout Assignment. Page Layout Assignment appears.
- Click Edit Assignment. Edit Page Layout Assignment appears.
Click the Page Layout column header.
All available profiles are selected.
In the Page Layout To Use field, select the NVM Tasks page layout. Click Save. All user profiles now see the NVM Tasks page layout when they create or edit user records.
