The Announcement applet contains a single audio file with an announcement. You can use this applet to set a welcome message, or to inform a caller that their call is being recorded.

You can only use this applet in an interaction plan that routes calls, and not other types of interactions.

The audio file that contains the announcement and is played when the call is routed to this applet.

Click Choose File to launch an Open dialog box. Select the audio file you want to use for the announcement.

Alternative TextText

If you do not provide an audio file, you can type text that Vonage Contact Center converts to speech. The speech is played when the call is routed to this applet.

The Alternative Text field can contain a maximum of 255 characters.

Enable Barge-inSelect or clear

If barge-in is enabled, callers can press any key on their telephone keypad to skip this announcement and any following announcements. The key that the caller presses is logged and used by the first subsequent applet that uses or collects keypad tones.

Select the Enable Barge-in check box to enable barge-in.
