Creating multiple individual Dial Lists for agents

Creating multiple individual Dial Lists for agents

Overview

You can create multiple individual Dial Lists for agents, each containing only records owned by that agent. This feature allows you to create up to 2000 Dial Lists at once by converting a single source Dial List, saving time for large teams.

Dial Lists created using this method are either static or dynamic. For information about dynamic Dial Lists, see Dynamic Dial Lists.

Prerequisites

Limitations

You cannot convert the following Dial List types:

  • Dial Lists created from a report.

  • Dial Lists created from a CSV file.

  • Single Dial List (record ownership).

User limit

Connect creates a Dial List for the first 2000 users included in the selected list view, even if they are not Connect users. If the list view does not contain any valid Connect users, an error is thrown.

Convert a single Dial List to multiple individual Dial Lists

To create multiple individual Dial Lists:

  1. Create a single Dial List by following the steps in Creating a single Dial List (first-come, first-served).

  2. Open the Dial List in read mode.

  3. In the Dial List detail page, click the Convert to Multiple Lists button.

  4. In the Convert to multiple lists? dialog, configure the following fields:

    • In the Users View dropdown, select the user list view that contains the agents to whom the Dial Lists will be assigned.

    • In the Ownership Field dropdown, select the field that Connect uses to determine record ownership and assign calls.

    • (Optional) Select the Delete current dial list after conversion check box if you want the source Dial List to be deleted.

  5. Click Convert to multiple lists.

The new Dial Lists are created and displayed in the Dial Lists list view.

List naming convention

The name of the user for whom each Dial List is created is appended to the source Dial List name to create a unique name for each list.
