Loop Counter applet
The Loop Counter applet counts how many times a specified segment of an interaction plan has been repeated and reroutes the interaction once the limit has been reached. The repeated segment of the interaction plan can contain more than one applet.
Using this applet, you can configure:
- the maximum number of repetitions - see Run Limit
- where the repetition should start - see Routing options
- where the interaction should go once the maximum number of repetitions has been exceeded - see Routing Options
Configuration
When you add the Loop Counter applet to your interaction plan, you can configure the following settings:
Run Limit
| Field | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum runs (1-10) | 1-10 | The maximum number of times a segment can be run. |
The applet checks if the maximum runs have been reached after each run.
Routing Options
| Field | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Next applet | List of available applets | This applet is run if the maximum runs have not been reached. Each new run begins with this applet. |
| Next applet after maximum runs | List of available applets | This applet is run if the maximum runs have been reached. |
Once the maximum runs have been reached, the applet that follows depends on your configuration. For example:
- The interaction plan continues regardless of the outcome;
- The interaction ends in case of a failure;
- The interaction is rerouted back to the Loop Counter applet, and the count starts again from 0.
