Summary

Custom Voice Extension users must add an additional component to ensure a smooth transition to Salesforce Voice Emergency Calling.

Emergency Calling Support

Emergency Calling will be rolled out to customers across future releases.

Availability

  • Emergency Calling will be turned on as default for all customers.

  • The prerequisite below only impacts customers using a Custom Voice Extension.

Salesforce administrator changes

If you are using a Custom Voice Extension in your contact center, manual configuration is required.
Add the Vonage Message Processor component to your voice extension, to ensure the org is updated for Emergency Calling.

Default Voice Extension

Customers using the Default Voice Extension package, provided by Vonage, already have the Vonage Message Processor component added. No extra configuration is needed.
