How do I add a new short code?
An agent can dial a short code to make a call or to transfer a caller to another number using their ContactPad. For information on making outbound calls, see Making an outbound call. This feature is useful if agents frequently call or transfer callers to a particular number. You must assign a short code to the destination number.
To add a short code, perform the following steps:
- Log in to ContactWorld and go to System Settings. For information on accessing System Settings, see Editing System Settings.
- Click the Short Code tab. The Short Codes area appears.
In Add New Shortcode, provide the following information:

ACME Phones ShortCode The short code that an agent can dial to call or transfer a call to the destination number. The short code appears in the Existing Shortcode(s) area.

To delete all the short codes, select the Select All check box and click Delete ShortCode. The short codes are all removed from the list of existing short codes.
