When you install Connect, you have a new component in your organisation. This component enables agents to make the calls assigned to them.

Before adding the Connect console component to a Salesforce Console, such as the Service Cloud, you must have already added the appropriate app. If you are notusing a non-console app in Salesforce consoleClassic, such as Service cloud,you can simply add the provided home page component to applicable home pagespage layouts. To create and then add the component, perform the following steps:

- Go to the Administration Setup Pageto Setup in Salesforce.
- On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the Build section, expand Customize and then Console.
- Click Custom Console Components. Custom Console Components appears.
- Click New.
Enter the following information:
Section Column width 60%100Field Description Value Name The unique name of the button. Connect Button Name The name that appears on the button. Connect Button Width (Pixels) The width of the button. 100 Component The Visualforce page that defines the component. Visualforce Page: DiallerNavigation Width (Pixels) The width of the component. 200 Height (Pixels) The height of the component. column185 Fixed Width Determines whether the width is fixed. Selected Fixed Height Determines whether the height is fixed. Selected width 40% - Click Save.
- On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the Build section, expand Create.
- Click Apps. Apps appears.
- Locate Service Cloud, the app you want to add Connect to and click Edit. Service Cloud appears The app appears in edit mode.
- Scroll down to Choose Console Components section. Click Connect in the Available Items list, and click Add to move the component to Selected Items.
- Click Save.
