Summary
Support for Salesforce Shield
Connect can now be used with Salesforce Shield. This functionality is enabled by default.
Agent changes
If an administrator enables encryption for one or more fields that an active dial list references, an error may occur in the dial list. If an agent is working with the dial list at the time the fields are encrypted, the dial list will be deactivated. The agent can continue working on their current call, but won't be able to work on any more calls in that list until active again.
Supervisor changes
Fields encrypted with deterministic encryption are available for filtering. However, supported comparison operators are restricted to 'equal to' and 'not equal to'.
Fields encrypted with probabilistic encryption are unavailable for filtering.
Fields with either type of encryption are unavailable for ordering.
When creating or editing dial lists, encrypted field labels appear with a suffix, for example, Account Name - Encrypted.
Supervisors can select fields encrypted with deterministic encryption in filters. They can then choose only equals or is not for the comparison operator for each filter.
Supervisors cannot select fields encrypted with probabilistic encryption in filters.
Supervisors cannot select any encrypted fields in order by fields.
To activate or save an existing dial list, a supervisor must resolve references to incompatible encrypted fields. Until references are resolved, the supervisor cannot make the list active or save it.
Salesforce administrator changes
A new custom field has been added: NVMConnect__DialList__c.NVMConnect__Error__c. This field contains details about any errors in a dial list including errors relating to encrypted fields.
We have added this field to both the Connect Supervisor and Connect Agent permission sets included in the package. An administrator must update any custom permission sets based on the included ones.
We recommend that an administrator add this field to dial list list views.
