Vonage Contact Center (VCC) has a dedicated storage area for storing audio files.
Using dynamic audio files and custom audio files works only in combination with Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).
You can request to have a folder created inside for your account and have S3 access permissions configured so you can maintain it.
In Interaction Architect, you can configure the Data Announcer, Universal Contact Distributor (UCD) and Take Message applets to use dynamic audio files. For information about using dynamic audio in these applets, see Using dynamic announcements in a Data Announcer applet, Using dynamic audio in a Universal Contact Distributor (UCD) applet and Taking and sending a message from a caller.
To use dynamic audio files you must store the audio files in VCC's Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) storage area. You must request a specific folder for your account; dynamic audio files and custom audio files each have their own root folder. Vonage will provide you with the credentials you need to access the folder; contact VCC support if you have forgotten your credentials.
You can use any file transfer client to upload your files to Amazon S3.
You can create sub folders within your folder in Amazon S3. Always use the full and correct file path when you store file paths and names in data sources.
File names are case-sensitive. Always use the correct case when you store file names in data sources.
VCC caches the files retrieved from S3. VCC checks for new versions of the files every hour. If you replace a file with a file of the same name, you may need to wait up to one hour to use the updated file.
