The Take Message applet records voice messages left by the caller, and sends the recordings to an email address. Use this applet when you simply do not have enough agents to respond to all of the calls, or when the call center is closed. Agents can listen to the messages later when they have more time. The Take Message applet can play an audio file before and after the message is taken. These messages are recorded in .wav file format and emailed to the configured address or addresses.
For information about using the Take Message applet to take and send messages from callers, see Taking and sending a message from a caller.
