Create Dial List button provides a quick way of creating a Dial List from selected items in a List View. The final step in enabling users to create a Dial List from a List View is to add the button to the Search List View.

Before you can add the button to the List View, you must have created the button. For information about creating the button, see Creating a Create Dial List button for a standard object.

To add the button to a list view, perform the following steps, which use the Contacts List View as an example.

  1. Go to the Administration Setup Page in Salesforce.
  2. On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the App Setup section, expand Customize.
  3. In the expanded list of items, expand Contacts and then click Search Layouts. Contact Search Layouts appears.
  4. Locate the 'Contacts List View' in the list. Click Edit alongside Contacts List View. Contacts List View appears.
    Edit contact list view

  5. In the Custom Buttons section, select Create Dial List in the Available Buttons box. Click Add to include the button in the Selected Buttons box.
If the button is not available, you must create a custom button. For information about creating a custom button, see Creating a Create Dial List button for a standard object.
