Using Connect in Salesforce Lightning Experience apps
You can use Connect in Salesforce Lightning Experience apps. Before you can use Connect in a Lightning app, your supervisor must add a component to page layouts, the utility bar, or both. For information about adding the component, see Adding Connect to Salesforce Lightning Experience apps.
Depending on your configuration, the Connect component appears in the page layout for your chosen object type for the applicable agents, the utility bar, or both.

Functionally Connect works in a Lightning app in exactly the same way as in a Salesforce Classic app. For information about using Connect, see Making calls using Connect.
