Post-Install Steps for Motivate
The user who installed the package will automatically be assigned a SuMo licence. If a different user will be carrying out the post install steps, they must first be assigned a SuMo licence.
- Enter Setup by clicking on the Setup link at the top of the screen
- Within the sidebar select Build | Installed Packages
- Click on Manage Licenses next to the SuMo package name
- If the user doesn't appear on that page, click Add User and assign the SuMo licence to them.
Automated Setup
- Enter Setup by clicking on the Setup link at the top of the screen
- Within the sidebar select Build | Installed Packages
- Click on Configure next to the Motivate package name
- On the Application Configuration page, expand the Installation & Upgrade section
- Click the Run button next to Automated Setup:
User Page Layout
The User page layout needs to be modified so that the "Motivate User Type" fields can be made available to administrators; to do this please follow the steps below.
- Within the sidebar select Build | Customize | Users | Page Layouts
- Click Edit beside the User Layout page layout
- Add a new Section immediately below the User Detail section, with these settings:
- Add the following Motivate fields to the new section:
- Motivation Designer
- Competition Manager
- Influencer
- Observer
- Player
- Click the Save button to complete the task and save your changes.
Motivation Designer - Supplementary Permission Set
The "Motivation Designer" and "Motivation Designer (Supplementary)" Permission Sets, along with a SuMo licence, will be assigned automatically to Users with the "Motivation Designer" User Type.
Use the steps below to update the Supplementary permission set with additional permissions that cannot be added automatically by the post-installation process:
- Within the sidebar select Administer | Manage Users | Permission Sets
- Click on the Permission Set name Motivation Designer (Supplementary)
- Click on the Assigned Apps link
- Click on the Edit button, then in the Available Apps list add NVMMotivate.Motivate (NVMMotivate__NVMMotivate) to the Enabled Apps list
- Click the Save button
- Click on the Object Settings link
- Click on the Base Behaviours object name:
- Click Edit and, under Base Behaviour: Record Type Assignments, check One-Off and Scheduled:
- Click the Save button
- Select the Collectives option from the Objects picklist:
- Click Edit and, under Collective: Record Type Assignments check Competition, Experience Group and Template:
- Click Save
