Using Connect in a non-console app in Salesforce Classic
You can use Connect in non-console apps in Salesforce Classic. Before you can use Connect in a non-console app, your supervisor must add a component to the app's home page layout. For information about adding the component, see Adding Connect to a non-console app in Salesforce Classic.
Depending on your configuration, the Connect component appears in the left sidebar on any object page, below ContactPad.
Functionally Connect works in a non-console app in exactly the same way as in a console app. For information about using Connect, see Making calls using Connect.
