Configuring your voicemail greeting in Agent Workspace

If enabled for your account, you can access your user profile through the User profile tab from the navigation bar. For information about accessing your user profile, see Configuring your user profile in Agent Workspace.

To configure your voicemail greeting, open your user profile and select Voicemail greeting in the left panel. Voicemail greeting appears.

Default greeting

Until you have set a personalized greeting, your voicemail will have the default greeting. The default greeting is the standard greeting that callers hear when you are unable to accept their call. The greeting informs callers that you are unavailable and prompts them to leave a message. To listen to this greeting, click play

You can keep this greeting or provide a personalized one.

Personalized greeting

A personalized greeting provides a unique touch to your voicemail with specific details or instructions. You can choose to provide a personalized greeting that callers hear when you are unable to accept their call.

If you decide to use a personalized greeting, you can upload an existing greeting or record a new one.

If you provide a personalized greeting, you can’t return to the default greeting. Make sure your personalized greeting meets your needs before continuing. When you have a personalized greeting, you can update it as many times as you want.

Recording a personalized greeting

To record a new personalized greeting, click Record a greeting. Record a personalized greeting appears.

Start recording

To start recording, click Start. Recording will stop after 60 seconds.

Stop recording

Alternatively you can click Stop to stop the recording sooner.

When you have recorded a greeting, you can:

  • Click play  to listen to the greeting.
  • Click the delete icon  to delete the recording and try again.
  • Click Save to save the recording, replacing your current one — either the default or a personalized greeting.

    Make sure your new greeting meets your needs before saving.

    Your greeting is saved and you are returned to Voicemail greeting.

  • Click Discard to delete the recording and return to Voicemail greeting.

Uploading an existing greeting

To upload an existing greeting, click Upload a greeting. Upload a personalized greeting appears.

Upload a personalized greeting

In Greeting file, you can:

  • Click to select a file from your computer
  • Drop a file from your computer

Your file must be in .wav format with a maximum size of 10 MB and length of 60 seconds. If your file doesn't conform to these requirements, or if the file is damaged or corrupt, an error message will appear and you will need to try again with a different file.

When you have selected or dropped a suitable file, you can:

  • Click play to listen to it.
  • Click the delete icon  to delete the file and try again.
  • Click Upload to save the file.

    Make sure your new greeting meets your needs before saving.

    Your greeting is saved and you are returned to Voicemail greeting.

  • Click Cancel to  return to Voicemail greeting.

Listening to a personalized voicemail greeting

When you have saved or uploaded a new voicemail greeting, you can listen to it. To listen to this greeting, click play.
