Working with interaction notifications in Agent Workspace

Agent Workspace can send both visual and audible notifications to your browser to alert you to incoming interactions and messages.

Visual notifications

You can allow Agent Workspace to send you a visual browser notification if Agent Workspace is not currently visible on your desktop.

The first time Agent Workspace tries to send you a visual browser notification, your browser may ask you to allow notifications. Notifications must also be enabled for your operating system. If notifications are not appearing, check that notifications are permitted in your browser and in your operating system.

The notification appears in the lower-right corner (Windows) or upper-right corner (Mac) of your computer's desktop in your primary monitor. If you block notifications in either your browser or your operating system, notifications will not appear.

Click a notification to open the browser tab that initiated it. Clicking also closes, or dismisses, a notification.

Audible notifications

You can configure audible notifications to be played when a non-call interaction — an SMS or Webchat, for example — arrives. For information, see User profile in Agent Workspace.
